War veterans face growing winter relief needs in Idaho
Boise The Veterans Welfare commission reports $25 000 of a $75 000 appropriation for world war veterans relief was used in summer as more requests arrive this winter. Secretary Lester F Albert says average four daily requests and local charities will supply most food and clothing while the commission funds rent and coal. The limited funds restrict aid to the most worthy cases and American Legion posts statewide cooperate with local relief groups.
