Republicans Elect Six For Count Offices In Bear Lake County
In Bear Lake County on Tuesday Republicans gained six of fourteen county offices as Democrats won the remainder. Ed C. Rich was reelected state senator and Silas L. Wright returns as state representative. Henry Teuscher and O B Solum won commissioner seats, Sam V. Tunks was reelected clerk, and T. L. Austin and F M Williams, both Republicans, won surveyor and coroner posts respectively. Several races remained unopposed including prosecuting attorney and probate judge.

Eight Kentuckians killed in election day violence
Eight persons died and two were dying in what was described as the driest election day in Kentucky since 1933. The eight fatalities occurred in Harlan county and marked a deadly election period with prior record deaths in the state.

Glenn J. Stock of Bear Lake Fox Farm attended the eleventh annual western division fox show in Blackfoot November 1 to 4. Stock entered eight foxes and won best pale silver fox and grand champion, earning a silver thermos set engraved with winner and owner names as Purina Mills of St. Louis awarded the prizes. Ranchers from Montana braved three feet of snow to attend.

Albino-appearing Duck Shot Near Idaho Falls
A duck shot near Idaho Falls along Birch Creek in Clark County by Ray Moor was sent to the Biological Survey. The bird resembles a green-winged teal in wing markings size and bill shape but is greyish white with dark eyes, not a true albino. It will be mounted for the statehouse collection.
