Fielding High to Honor Widtsoe at 1927 Commencement

Dr John A. Widtsoe of Salt Lake will be the commencement speaker for Fielding High School. The ceremony on Friday May 27 1927 at Stoke Fabernacle 8 PM will feature a full program with musical selections salutatory and valedictory by Edith Rich Flora Hart participation by Edna Rich and others and diplomas granted by Principal L D Low.

Bear Lake Stake Conference Schedule and Widtsoe Visit

The Bear Lake stake will hold a quarterly conference Saturday May 28 with sessions at 10 am and 2 pm in the stake tabernacle and Sunday 10 am and 2 pm. Elder John A Widtsoe of the quorum of twelve apostles will attend and speak at sessions. A monthly stake priesthood meeting is set for Paris Saturday May 21 at the usual time and place.

Idaho Tourism Ads to Run Nationwide in June

Idaho will launch scenic and agricultural ads starting Sunday May 29 across newspapers in the Great Lakes, Midwest, Rocky Mountain, and Pacific regions. Governor Baldridge announced the campaign, managed by Marion G Nelson in Salt Lake City, with a $30,000 appropriation to promote Idaho's attractions aimed at drawing tourists.

Boise May 14. Death toll among men higher than women in April with 25 deaths from cancer and cerebral hemorrhage each. Total deaths 382 with 153 males and 129 females. Five accidental drownings and other incidents. Births 628, including 46 foreign parentage and four sets of twins.

Water Supply Inspections Planned for South Idaho Towns

Boise May 13. W V Leonard state chemist and sanitary engineer to lead annual inspections of public utilities and railroads water supplies for culinary use. He will test municipal domestic supplies, advise city officials, and report to railroads and the U S bureau of public health. Temple excursion to Lo gan Utah planned for June dates

An adult temple excursion to Lo gan Utah will be held June 22 23 24. Eligible individuals are urged to participate. Mr and Mrs Smith Ovard welcomed a baby girl last week. Mrs Ovard is the daughter of Mr and Mrs George Passey and is at her parents home. All concerned are reported doing nicely.
