Lieutenant Nard D. Jacobson born December 1 1923 in Bloomington Idaho is cited for leading the 82nd tank destroyer battalion Ninth Infantry in a Roer river advance through Hambach Forest. Idaho Servicemen May Fish on Resident Licenses
Servicemen stationed in Idaho may fish and hunt on resident licenses. The rule, in effect since 1943, requires the regular Idaho resident license at $2. Bloomington Couple Celebrates Golden Wedding Anniversary
Sunday April 15 1945 marked the fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs P A Rainsdon of Idaho Falls. They homesteaded at Taylor in 1903 then moved to Idaho Falls. The event featured a reception with gold themed decorations and was attended by 150 friends and relatives. Their children include Mrs Mary E Stoddard Charles M Rainsdon Francis L Rainsdon Lydia P Wagoner James A Rainsdon Burton T Rainsdon David Rainsdon and Lila J Walker with 27 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Four grandsons serve in the Army and Navy overseas. One brother Frank Payne attended.

George Henry King born October 29 1871 in Salt Lake City Utah died May 3 at his Lanark Idaho home aged unknown. He married Catherine Hayes of Georgetown Idaho in 1899 she died 1940. Survived by siblings daughters and sons and 11 grandchildren. Funeral May 7 in Paris cemetery.

He attended AIM school in Chicago and the Naval Aircraft Factory Philadelphia studying carrier catapult and arresting gear.
