High Priests Hold Annual Social at Liberty Chapel

A district Court of Honor was held in the St Charles Ward chapel on March 25. Brent Bunderson Ronald Rathbone William Stock Vernon Anderson and others earned Second and First Class ranks while several boys received Merit Badges and Engle awards. Bloomington Teacher Norma Painter Dies After 21 Years Service
Norma Avis Painter died March 28 1961 in Bear Lake Memorial after a heart ailment. She taught 21 years in Bloomington Iowa schools and is survived by daughters, stepchildren, and many grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 27 at Bloomington Ward chapel with Bishop Haddock conducting and interment in Bloomington.

County Livestock Feed Program Extended for April
The Emergency Livestock Feed Program is extended to cover April in Bear Lake County. Lowell Smart, ASC County Committee chairman, announced that eligible livestock owners may file for CCC feed grain at the Montpelier ASC office during the last week of March, before April 1, 1961, to ensure supplies. Bear Lake County was designated an emergency area on January 19, 1963, to help producers buy government owned grains at current support prices amid feed shortages from storms and drought.
