Eat More Butter Boost An Idaho Industry
Approximately 3,000,000 pounds more butter were withdrawn from storage in January 1930 than January 1929. The surplus includes evaporated and condensed milk and dried milk cream. By February 1, 1980 there were 35,482,000 pounds of butter in excess of 1929 levels, with little reduction in February. A strong push to increase butter consumption is urged to ease the dairy surplus.
