D. P Donahue of Pocatello representing the Idaho Egg Producers Ass'n and Ford Kenney of Everett Washington, president of the Washington Cooperative Hatchery, traveled to Paris to organize a county by county baby chick pool. The southeastern Idaho meeting tasked each county with forming a local unit aiming for 50 000 hens per unit and 20 000 cases of eggs annually with 125 producers averaging 400+ hens. A future egg candling and grading plant could be built as production warrants.

Robinson Wins Bear Lake Highway Gravel Contract Between Paris and Montpelier
C A Robinson of Twin Falls secured the gravel surfacing contract for 9.5 miles of the Bear Lake highway from Paris to Montpelier. Bid $11,136. Completion follows a similar 1920s project. hauling of cracked rock over nearly ten miles slated next. Work to begin soon, with lime reef base rock and reused gravel.

Utah state road commission mapped Rich County road program after meetings with county commissioners. Verd Sorensen Dies From Motorcycle Crash Injuries
Verd Sorensen 28 and his wife moved to Twin Falls two years ago to work as a mechanic at a repair shop. He died after a March 14 motorcycle crash into a parked car near the shop, suffered a relapse Saturday after an operation in Twin Falls, and his body will be returned to Ovid for funeral services.
