Hampton completed the regular course at the U S Army Command and General Staff College Fort Leavenworth along with 666 U S officers and 84 officers from 43 allied nations General Lyman L Lemitzer chaired the graduation address Maj Hampton assigned to the Department of Meteorology US Army Electronics Proving Ground Fort Huachuca He entered the Army in 1942 and 1939 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Utah State University 1942 and a PhD from the University of California Los Angeles in 1954.

The John Parker family reunion was held Saturday June 24 at the park in Emigration Canyon with noon lunch and a 2 p.m. meeting directed by Charles Parker. Genealogy work was discussed and descendants of Alma Parker were chosen to supervise next year’s event. About 110 attended, the oldest participant being Louise Parker Clark, 81, of Blackfoot. Paris visitors included Mr and Mrs Darwin Haddock and Mr George Parks among others.
