Bear Lake survey aims to boost sport fishing and management
A crew led by Dr. Stillman Wright of the bureau of fisheries has begun a Bear Lake survey. The team, based in Fish Haven, will draft a management plan, establish a fish planting program, control undesirable species, and regulate fishing seasons. Previous surveys in 1931 and 1911 were brief. Wright hopes for a program placing Bear Lake among top sport fishing areas.
