Frank N Sunderland 69 a Montpelier bakery operator and longtime city councilman died at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital after a long illness born December 16 1897 in Newark Ohio parents Frank M and Flora May Sunderland married Vera May Johnson August 14 1919 she died February this year survived by three daughters three grandchildren and two brothers funeral set for Saturday at 1 00 p m at the Montpelier Third Fifth LDS Ward Chapel Masonic rites to follow burial in Montpelier Cemetery.

Miss Lenna Jacobson Named First Runner-Up in Miss Idaho
Miss Lenna Jacobson Miss Bear Lake 1967 finished as first runner-up in the Miss Idaho Pageant held in Boise. Daughter of Mr and Mrs Roy Jacobson of Montpelier she is a Utah State University sophomore. Her sister Linda was Miss Bear Lake 1966 and Lenna may serve as Miss Idaho if Christine Phillips of Rupert cannot fulfill obligations. The Montpelier Lions Club sponsors the local event.

Idaho 4-H Club Congress Draws Delegates From Across State
A week of campus life at the University of Idaho June 11 to 16 offered Idaho 4-Hers a chance to explore educational careers. About 7000 boys and girls attended workshops speeches and activities while electing officers and enjoying recreational events. The program was organized by the state 4-H staff with Dan B Warren Maurice Johnson and Constance Meyer directing, featuring guests Marilyn Van Derbur former Miss America, Rev. Stanton Tate, Malcolm Dooley and others. Will Moore led business meetings and events included career day mixers softball fashion show and a talent show with guests Pier Giorgio Maule and Lennart Lindqvist among the participants.
