Dr and Mrs W W Brown of Liberty traveled to Indianapolis to join Alma Choles of Preston as Idaho delegates to the 72nd Holstein-Friesian Association of America convention. They helped set national policies and elect officers for about 47,000 breeders. The trip included a banquet with Gov Harold Handley, a Radio City show, and visits to Holstein herds in Wisconsin.

Fire damages gas station in Georgetown injuring man
A fire sparked by a butane stove ignited spilled gasoline from a tank truck unloading fuel at the Georgetown Roy Dunford service last Saturday noon. The station burned to the ground, driver Robert Anthony suffered first and third degree burns, and losses may reach about 15,000 to 20,000 dollars.

Funeral services for Elda Weston held Monday
Elda Dixon Weston 63 died Thursday June 13 from a liver ailment at home in Laketown Utah. Born December 4 1893 in Symerton Illinois she joined the LDS Church and moved to Salt Lake City with husband Albert Weston. She led welfare and Garden Club efforts, and at death was Laketown Relief Society president. Survived by husband five children and 20 grandchildren. Funeral Monday afternoon conducted by Bishop Norman E Weston with pallbearers Arlon Weston Harmon W Cheney Lewis Robinson Gerry Alley Wendell Johnson Howard Lamborn. Grave dedication by Rufus W Humphrey and flowers by Ward Relief Society.
