Former Paris Woman Dies at Afton Wyoming
Alvina Flora Tueller West died in Afton Wyoming. Funeral services were held in Afton for the daughter of John Tueller and Alvira Schaffer born March 24 1884 in Providence Utah. She moved to Paris Idaho as a child and later married Dr West in July 1912. Survived by husband five sons two daughters eleven grandchildren two brothers three sisters and many friends.

Idahoans Arrested for Illegal Fishing on Bear Lake
Four Idahoans were arrested for using a gill net on Bear Lake in a joint Utah Idaho operation. One case was dismissed for insufficient evidence. three others were fined 5 to 26 dollars. Names include Ellis Williamson Berne Wilks and W J Floyd all of St Charles Idaho. Wardens Arthur Cox and Pete Horning led the case. The catch reportedly included six suckers and one trout.

Magpie Campaign Nets 10 120 Heads For Rod and Gun Club
The Rainbow Rod and Gun Club collected 10 120 magpie heads from 140 hunters in the valley as part of a county campaign. Joe Murdock of Montpellier won first prize a .22 rifle for 1216 heads. Elwood Parker of Paris took fly rod for 1161. Don Kunz of Montpelier earned automatic reel for 1068. Shells awarded per hundred heads ranged up to 12 boxes for Murdock. Proceeds payable at Eliots Bike Shop or the County Agent's office.

Officers in the Officers Reserve Corps National Guard and Army of the United States may compete for Regular Army commissions under a plan announced by M R S Howard of the Montpelier Army Recruiting station.
