Heber Stock of Fish Haven suffers a broken leg when his horse reared and threw him during a cattle roundup Sunday. Robert Kunz 93 longtime Bern settler and LDS leader died May 30 in Montpelier hospital. Born December 16 1862 in Berne Switzerland he immigrated 1869 with family later moving to Bear Lake 1870. Survived by eight children and numerous grandchildren great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral held June 2 in Bern ward chapel with services led by George Kunz and local clergy. interment in Bern cemetery.

The bride wore a white crystalline gown and carried white roses. bridesmaids wore pink cotton empire dresses. The groom’s mother Mrs Alice Linford and several family members attended. Bear Lake County wool pool was sold in 1956 to the Idaho Wool Marketing Association for 46 cents per pound under a standard contract. F W Sorgatz, committee chairman, said the buyer is a subsidiary of the National Wool Marketing Association. Loading dates at the Montpelier railhead are set for June 14 and 15 with west side growers loading June 14 and east side June 15.

She was born in Dingle June 7 1898 and taught in Lanark Raymond South Montpelier before joining Long Beach schools in 1919.
