The Bear Lake County Assessor reports a drop in motor vehicle license sales in 1932 from 1931 levels. Total licenses issued were 1243 with 1042 passenger cars, 114 trucks, and the remainder trailers, motorcycles and non resident licenses. Revenue totaled 18018.57, down from 22226.01 in 1981. Early 1933 licenses few as buyers await April 1 deadline and possible state legislature changes.

Casein Shipment Moves From Rupert to Co op Creamery
Casein is shipped daily to the Burley and Jerome Cooperative creamery for grinding and drying from Rupert and Twin Falls stations. About 1600 pounds pass daily, with December shipments totaling two carloads. Made from skim milk, one hundred pounds of milk yields about three pounds of casein used in paper glue fruit spray artificial ivory and many other products.

Milford Williams 67 Montpelier official remembered in funeral
Large funeral services were held Sunday at the Montpelier tabernacle for Milford Williams 67 Bear Lake county assessor and prominent church civic figure. He died Thursday at 1 30 am from kidney trouble after a weeklong illness while en route to Boise for a county assessors convention. Interment was in Montpelier City cemetery. He leaves a widow five daughters a son nine grandchildren and several siblings. Miller Williams was born October 3 1865 in Peterson Utah and lived in Ogden before starting Williams Coal Co and Williams Hess Coal Co in Montpelier. He served as county assessor since 1929 and 1932 and was a high priest in the L D S church with a mission to England and Scotland serving as Scottish conference president.
