Robins Second Message Draws Mixed Reviews in Idaho Legislature
Governor Robins delivered a ponderous second message January 24, drawing GOP criticism for verbosity and lack of concrete proposals. Lawmakers report slow pace with 76 House bills, 51 Senate bills in 20 days, only two crossovers. Bills on salaries pass, while tax exemptions for widows and disabled veterans face heated opposition amid looming budgets and a possible special session.
