Bear Lake County to see tax valuations fall with livestock cuts
Idaho assessors meet in Boise and approve a about 28 percent reduction in livestock valuations, lowering Bear Lake county figures. New rates apply to sheep, ducks, cattle, horses, turkeys, and foxes, with real property kept at 44 percent of sale value and utilities at 50 percent. Mil ford Williams notes push to hold unit real property values and seek relief through taxation changes. A new emergency law requires year stock and new stock to be assessed at average inventory, and household goods taxed per 1929 law.
