Paris Boy In Stricken Poverty Bay in New Zealand
Milford Rogers son of Mrs Elizabeth Rogers of this city sails for home April 21 from New Zealand where he has been on a mission for the L D S Church. He is in Poverty Bay on the eastern coast about 80 miles from the quake area. His brother Franklin a barber returned from there and told the editor he was on the mountain sink during the quake. Mrs Rogers has heard nothing from her son since the catastrophe.

Half Million Fish to Be Planted in Bear Lake
Rich County Utah Fish and Game Club reports that about 500000 fish will be stocked in Bear Lake this year. Stock will include Mackinaw sprut salmon and balance lakes adapt to Bear Lake conditions. Fred Foster of the U S bureau of fisheries says stocking will be on a large scale with 90 percent raised in Utah near the lake and a government engineer will inspect the outlet at Camp Lifton for possible gate to keep fish from leaving the lake.

Early Bear Lake community mourns Johanna Irenstrum Peterson who died January 27 after two years of poor health. Funeral services were held at St Charles chapel with Bishop E W Allred presiding. Interment followed at St Charles cemetery. Survived by eight children, one brother, one sister, fifty seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Born March 14 1856 in Onstunda Sweden, she immigrated at age six.
