In the first conference game Rockland defeated Fielding 386 to 44 as Montpelier's Spartans were short-handed. Michaelson led Fielding with 18 points while Stocker led Spartans with 15 and Michaelson added 12. Fielding struggled after bench penalties and trailed early, with Rockland taking a large lead by the fourth quarter.

Mary K Madsen dies in Salt Lake City at 91
Mrs. Maryrogue Madsen, 91, died Saturday at her Salt Lake City home. Born June 20, 1865 in Bloomington to James Peter and Charlotte Krogue, she married Jacob Madsen in 1887 Logan Temple. he died in 1942. Surviving children include Vera Mickelsen Portland, Sara Jensen Preston, Ka Jensson, Larue Senior, and R J Madsen. Funeral and burial were in Logan City Cemetery.

Santa Coming to Paris December 22

Former Montpelier Lady Dies in Logan
Mrs. Mary W Schvaneveldt aged 89 died Friday in Logan of age related causes. Born in Montpelier August 27 1867 to Robert H Williams and Harriet Rosenbark Williams, she moved to Gentile Valley as a child. She married Joseph Schvaneveldt in the Logan Temple on December 19 1888. Surviving are two sons one daughter and one brother. Funeral services and burial were held in Logan Tuesday.

The Payne family gathered at Blooming ton home on Sunday December 9 to honor J Albert Payne turning 80. Born December 18 1876 in Bloomington Idaho he farmed and raised stock most of his life with a stint at Brigham Young College in Logan. He married Sylvia Sleight June 5 1913 in the Salt Lake Temple and has two sons Weldon and Russell and two daughters Mia Ronald Thornock and Emily Pratt plus 13 grandchildren.
