North Rich cagers opened strong on Fielding court, racing to a 10 point lead before settling into a trade basket game. The visiting North Richdistinos defeated Fielding 69 to 57 with balanced scoring and fast breaks.

The general public is invited to attend the Senior Ball Saturday evening December 22 in the Paris Pavilion. A floor show will start at 10 30 p m. The Cleffs an orchestra from Afton Wyoming will furnish the music.
Nancy Maria Frances Walter, 10, of Border, was killed when struck by a car on U S Highway 80 N near the Idaho Wyoming line while being pulled on a tobacco sled behind a tractor. Jack Lloyd, 17, Montpelier, driving the car, said he did not see her. the tractor blocked view. The coroner ruled the accident unavoidable.
Mr and Mrs Dallas Athay announce the engagement of their daughter Maurine to Mr Carl W Trussell son of Mr and Mrs Wm Trussell of Montpelier Plans are being made for a summer wedding.
The Paris Volunteer Fire Department expresses gratitude for help with a campaign to place fire extinguishers in homes. Adverse weather and a busy season limited visits, but after the new year they will contact more homeowners to demonstrate extinguisher types. Dinner guests at the Lauritzen home in Montpelier included Mr. and Mrs Wim Jensen Mr. and Mrs O H Grimmett and Mr and Mrs Gillis Straw.
The Bloomington MIA will stage a Christmas Dance in the ward hall on Tuesday evening December 25. Music will be provided by Luke and Eva. The public is invited to attend.

Mr and Mrs George Lane and their family moved to Montpelier last weekend confirming a new residence and establishing ties with the local community.
Mr. and Mrs. Clem Sampherys and Mrs. Charles Innes were in Pocatello Tuesday visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Williams. A baby girl arrived December 15 at the Williams home and grandfather Clem began meeting his new granddaughter.
Santa Claus visits Paris on Saturday December 22 expected around 5 p.m. with candy and nuts for kids. A free children’s picture show at Novelty Theatre starts 2 p.m. led by Harold Reese and local singers. A street program follows then Santa appears on Main and Center squares with community groups coordinating the event.
Mr and Mrs Peter Grandy announce their son Scott Grandy has earned a prize trip to Europe as a top magazine representative. He will depart after Christmas for the continent. Russell and Joyce Crawford visit with G B Crawford family during the holiday. The Paris Literary Club hosted a Christmas party on December 15 with 24 attendees. Della Hulme served a turkey dinner and gifts were exchanged after bingo and slides by Melinda Sparke and Orson Grimmett.
The St Charles School will present an operetta Saturday evening December 22 at the St Charles Grade School. A band concert begins at 7 o clock followed by the operetta at 7 30 p.m.
The Paris 1st and 2nd Wards sponsor a Christmas dance on December 2 in the pavilion. Music will be by The Cleffs with public invited.
Seven hundred dollars in County Mail checks were awarded to 223 Bear Lake county 4 H youths on Dec 12 in Montpelier City Hall. Judy Ann Parker of Montpelier received a $30 Short Course scholarship in Moscow for an outstanding girl in clothing.
A ten million dollar Georgetown venture by Central Farmers' Fertilizer Co operative of Chicago begins with rough grades for a railroad and access road in Georgetown Canyon. The project will produce about 1 500 tons daily and aims to start production in 1968 with a nine mile railroad spur to Georgetown Station and a plant site near 2 400 acre phosphate deposits.
Mira Innea hosted a badge club last Thursday afternoon. Bana Gong won high score, Dorothy Watterson took low score, and Dorothy Varner earned the all-out prize. Gift presentations included several named members of the group.
