Bear Lake county votes in primary election results
Voters turnout high in Bear Lake county with about 2200 ballots cast Tuesday. In county races Leslie Bol defeated A L Schirm for Democratic nomination. Don Rex deyk Pugmire led Republican race with 326. In U S Senate Republican R J Davis led with 414, Herman Welker 348. Democrats Taylor 432, Frank 269. Smart unopposed for Treasurer received 1022. State totals show Taylor leading Church by under 200 votes with 90 percent of precincts counted. Welker conceded the Republican nomination by about 10,000.

Bear Lake Rangers Enjoy Three Day Ride
A Bear Lake group of seven started from Emigration Canyon Friday at 9 30, rode to St Charles Canyon for supper at Minnetonka Cave campgrounds with cooks Bull Hill and George Parker. They joined by about 20 more for Saturday supper, then rode to Tony Grove Campgrounds in Logan Canyon and camped. Sunday visits included Tony Grove Lake and White Pine Lake with scenic views.

Richard L. Pope of Fish Haven Idaho will receive his Masters Degree from Brigham Young University Provo on August 17 during the 81st annual commencement.
