August Rodeo Fair to Feature Local Riders and Guests
The three night fair and rodeo begins August 17 with stock, horses and bulls supplied by J Ray Skin. Local riders from the county join top mounts for grand entry and nightly performances. On August 19 a riding demonstration by the famous Weber county sheriff’s mounted unit and visiting clubs from Montpelier provide a cross section of horses and riders. A parade at 1 p.m. and nightly shows at 8 p.m. cap the event with a balanced fast program.

Thornock Family Reunion Held At Wish Haven Resort
Descendents of the late John Thornock gathered at Wish Haven Resort on August 5 with about 195 attendees. The morning included meetings and introductions, followed by a reception and a meal in the grand hall, and a social dance in the evening. John Jensen Figures in Auto Accident Thursday
John Jensen of Fish Haven narrowly escaped serious injury last Thursday when his car rolled forward after he alighted at St. Charles. He was delivering mail from Paris to Randolph Utah. a broken rib and facial injuries were treated at the hospital before his release. Louis Pugmire aided in freeing him.

Barn Destroyed by Lightning on Liberty Ranch
A barn at the Orsdn Hyilss ranch in Liberty was struck by lightning on Friday, destroying the structure. A milking machine and most harness were saved, but many small articles and about 12 tons of alfalfa hay were lost in the blaze.
