Fourth Ward Sees Busy City Election Counts

Paris voters chose a new mayor and councilmen across wards with a close mayoral result and several ward representatives. Official tallies name J H Denio as police judge, M G Wilcox and Simpson Rich as Fourth Ward councilmen, and others across wards with various trades shaping city leadership.

Mrs Nora Hart Dies After Illness In Montpelier

Mrs. Nora Hart wife of Melvin Hart of Raymond and sister of H H Dalrymple died Tuesday morning after a long illness. She and her husband had moved to Montpelier seeking medical care where she gave birth to a child who did not survive. Dr Ezra Rich of Ogden consulted with her physicians before her death. She leaves her husband and two small children. Funeral services were held at the Montpelier First Ward meeting house yesterday at 1 o clock p m and the remains were sent to Wardboro for interment.

Roosevelt to visit Moscow Idaho in April

Theodore Roosevelt will arrive in Moscow on April 9 and stay until Monday morning. He will deliver an address at 9 30 a m from a wheat platform furnished by the Farmers Union. Citizens prepare for a large crowd expected to fill the ground to hear the distinguished visitor.

Team Drowned In Slough Near Telluride Dredge

Ernest Riley and George Davis of Montpelier hired a livery team from Stephens Livers to reach the Telluride dredge. The team sank in a slough near Oliver Dunford's hay land, both horses drowning. The men returned by haystack overnight and reached Paris around 4 p.m. Sunday, soaked and hungry.
