The Fifth District Speech Festival will be held in Paris on Friday April 7. Ten high schools compete in plays orations humorous and dramatic readings with a 2 cent admission. venues include Second Wi chapel Fielding High School auditorium and Seminary Building with a detailed event schedule. The Paris Lions Club provides a trophy for the school with the most event wins, on display at Paris Drug Co.

Bloomington Matron Called To Last Reward
Maggie Marintha Thornock died Sunday afternoon in Bloomington Idaho. She was born 1894 at Lanark Idaho and married in 1910. Survived by her husband, eight children, four of whom live in Bloomington Randolph and Evanston areas, six grandchildren, and several siblings. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Bloomington ward chapel with interment at Blee Cemetery.

Fish trap at mouth of St Charles Creek to catch spawners
A fish trap was placed at the mouth of St Charles Creek to catch trout as they leave Bear Lake to spawn.
