Fulbright Chair Awarded to Oswego's Kevin White
SUNY Oswego anthropology faculty member Kevin White has won a spring 2017 Fulbright Canada visiting research chair in trans-border studies at Brock University in Ontario. White will teach and conduct research at Six Nations of the Grand River near Oshweken, with planned projects on Hau denosaunee stories and Native American creation narratives, collaborating with Indigenous researchers and Brock and McMaster universities to broaden Native studies across Oswego curricula.

Matott, SUNY Oswego alumnus and former WTOP-10 chief meteorologist, returns to Oswego to support literacy efforts amid team costumes games and prize drawings. ARISE Golf Clinic Opens At Evergreen Hills Oswego
The seventh annual ARISE Golf Clinic will be held today at Evergreen Hills Golf Course in Oswego. John Hayes and local volunteers partner to offer free golf tutorials and a tournament for ARISE and ARC of Onondaga County clients plus other disability groups, with all expenses covered by Evergreen Hills contributors.

Hall of Famer Chad Miller to perform in Osceola Sept 18
Fiddler Chad Miller winner of the 2016 North American Fiddlers Hall of Fame Inductee honor will perform old time fiddle favorites from 2 to 5 p.m. at the North American Fiddlers Hall of Fame and Museum in Osceola.
