Backus outlines goals for clerk's office in 2nd term
Oswego County Clerk Michael Backus, entering a second term after unopposed re election, says his office has transformed and will push to do more with less. He aims to streamline record keeping, expand motor vehicle registration handling, and pursue technology to cut red tape while returning about $1.6 million to the county in 2016. The plan includes space expansion for records, more DMV revenue retention, and site discussions for the former jail property housing the DMV and record center.
