Oswego Man Charged With Sexual Abuse
Oswego police charged Jason J. Bryan of 239 W Fifth St. with first degree criminal sex act first degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child after alleged sexual contact with a child under 11 on November 1 in Oswego. He is held on cash bail and due in Oswego City Court November 14. Also included a Veterans Day event at Frederick Leighton Elementary School inviting area veterans with guest speakers and student service songs.

Dredging Progress Reported on Lake Neatah wanta Sediment
Granby volunteers finished a third year of sediment removal at Lake Neatah wanta led by the Lake Neatah wanta Reclamation Committee. Officials said heavy spring weather stalled work but later allowed opening new springs and clearing silt along the southeast shore as dredging extended offshore and toward Sheldon Creek.

Oswego Council backs three land bank rehabs
Oswego City Councilors backed a plan to transfer three dilapidated tax foreclosed homes to the Oswego County Land Bank for rehab and return to the tax rolls. Mayor Billy Barlow said the properties at 28 Ontario Street, 118 E Fourth Street, and 249 W Seventh Street would be turned into single family homes, aiding demolition and revitalization efforts and boosting neighborhood values.
