Oswego Sets Up Lounge For Non Traditional Students Week
Oswego announces a full week of events for National Non Traditional Students Week from November 7 to 11. Activities include a new lounge reveal in Hewitt Union, a campus poster campaign, alumni networking, and a bonfire to celebrate about 600 undergraduates aged 24 and older pursuing non linear paths. Theresa Aguilar, a Navy veteran and SUNY Oswego student, and Don Cleveland, a former Air Force member and Veterans Club leader, are featured in posters highlighting diverse non traditional learners. Aguilar moved from Jefferson Community College to SUNY Oswego this fall and aims for a kindergarten to sixth grade teaching aide role, while Cleveland praises professors who treat veteran students as peers and supports his ongoing studies and campus activities.
