Oswego area students entering eighth or ninth grade can apply for the MASH Camp at Oswego Hospital July 29 and 30 from 8 30 a m to 4 p m. The event offers hands on suturing tours of departments and glimpses of health care careers. Applications due June 12 space limited to 20 with scrubs meals and materials provided.

NIH says starting HIV treatment early improves health
A major START trial found that starting anti-HIV drugs while CD4 counts remain high reduces risk of AIDS and other illnesses by about 53 percent over three years. The study enrolled 4685 participants in 35 countries and was stopped early so treatment could begin for all.
