Oswego and Fulton Voters Endorse District Budgets
Oswego voters narrowly approved the 2015 2016 Oswego school budget 1150 to 1079 with an 9.72 percent tax rise raising the levy to 21.19 per thousand while Fulton approved its budget 368 to 262. The Oswego plan totals 82.8 million dollars and includes bond authorization for nine school buses and a 650000 transfer from the liability reserve. Incumbents Lynda Sereno and Thomas DeCastro won three year seats with Fran Hoefer losing.

SUNY Oswego Student Arrested Over Drugs and Cash
Oswego SUNY Oswego student Dylan C. Loeffing, 21, was arrested after authorities found 809 illegally prescribed Xanax pills, a small amount of marijuana, and more than $170,000 in cash during searches of his person and apartment on Friday.
