Upstate New York Pioneers in Women’s Suffrage History
March marks Women's History Month highlighting Elizabeth Cady Stanton Susan B Anthony and Matilda Joslyn Gage as key early figures shaping national suffrage. The trio helped found the National Woman Suffrage Association and campaigned alongside abolitionists. Their efforts culminated in the 1920 ratification of the 19th Amendment, with New York celebrating from 2017 to 2020 the movement's centennial through state planning and museum partnerships.
