Oswego police charged Samuel D. Sapka age 20 of 6 S W Ninth St Oswego with menacing a police officer a felony and several misdemeanors after an incident in which he allegedly menaced several officers with an unloaded shotgun Full story on Page 2
State police arrested Daryl L. Chetney, 34, of 159 Senior Ave., Fulton, on second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after he allegedly drew a knife during a fight at a party at his Fulton home around 8:30 p.m. He was taken to the Fulton barracks and ordered to return to Granby Town Court on July 11.
Carrie F. Dalton, 36, of Fulton, is charged with third degree burglary after allegedly concealing unpaid items in a shopping cart at the Granby Walmart. Police say she passed all points of sale and left with items hidden under paid goods. Arraigned in Hannibal Town Court, bail set at $100 cash. next Granby Town Court appearance June 27 at 7 p.m.
Oswego City School District officials outlined a plan to reinstate all 29 modified sports eliminated in 2016 2017 after a $150 000 state grant. The U S Army Corps of Engineers will start a 926000-dredging contract at Oswego Harbor in New York, removing 175000 cubic yards from the harbor mouth outer harbor and western channel areas. Leudtke Engineering Company of Frankfort Michigan earned the bid and will begin operations Monday continuing through June and July.
