Brady to be honored as Amelia Earhart Woman of Achievement
Zonta Club of Oswego will posthumously honor Billie Crandall Brady as the 2017 Amelia Earhart Woman of Achievement at a 5:30 p.m. ceremony Tuesday at the American Foundry. Tammy Thompson noted Brady’s 28 years of community service and role model impact while praising her kindness and leadership. Brady, a Water Town High School 1976 graduate, earned a Natural Resources Conservation degree from SUNY Morrisville and a English Writing Arts degree from SUNY Oswego before marrying Dennis Brady on December 28 1979 and building roots in the community with their two sons Nate and Griffin after obtaining her real estate license.

State Mobile Unit schedules flood victim assistance
The state's mobile command vehicle will assist Lake Ontario flood victims at the Mexico maintenance facility 5846 Scenic Ave Route 3 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on June 24 and June 28. Officials from the Department of Financial Services and Department of Environmental Conservation will answer questions and help residents and small business owners access state recovery resources.
