Turbulent Oswego case behind Heidi Allen disappearance
In 2014 federal motion to overturn Thibodeau conviction spurred renewed searches in Mexico for Heidi Allen who vanished in 1994. Investigators sought alleged new suspects Steen Breckenridge and Bohrer amid claims from witnesses while the DA’s office maintained no credible link to Allen. A lengthy hearing followed. judge ruled against overturning the conviction though debates about new evidence and witness reliability persisted.
