The second annual Oswego City Bike Rodeo runs 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the lot beside East Side Fire Station with rain location at the station. Safety Dog, helmets, pedal cars, trikes, bikes, Move Along Cycles, Oswego Speedway displays, Domino’s pizza, face painting, police and firefighters offering safety guidance, and Doyle's Bike Shop on bike checks and repairs.

Oswego officials announced the ninth annual St Baldrick's event at Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center raised over $96,000 for childhood cancer research. Treasurer Sandy Pike confirmed the latest total surpassed the $96,000 mark after processing checks and a final $350 payment. The 2013 event brought in more than $94,000, while the prior year raised about $95,400.

County files efficiency plan for NY tax freeze rebates
Oswego County and local governments filed an efficiency plan to qualify for New York state tax freeze rebate incentives.
