Oswego Hosts District 8 All Star Pool Play in Baseball
Oswego Oswego Little League hosts the National Pool of the District 8 All Star Tournament with Phoenix Mexico and Baldwinsville. Each team plays the others twice in pool play to decide the two advancing teams to the District 8 championship. American Pool adds Liverpool Crown City Fulton and Eastwood with playoffs at Eastwood Little League. Fulton meets Liverpool at 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday against Eastwood. National Pool games run Saturday through Thursday at Lagoe Field Fort Ontario complex. Oswego Oswego YMCA hosts the 28th Harborfest Run/Walk with an 8:30 a.m. start at the YMCA Armory and a 10K circuit to the Oswego State campus. River's End Bookstore Kids Run begins at 8 a.m. outside the YMCA. Proceeds fund health education and rehabilitation programs. Danzer wins Oswego Mr Supermodified event for $10000
Oswego's Dave Danzer in the No. 52 passes pole-sitter Joe Gosek midway through the 50-lap Novelis Supermodified feature to claim the $10,000 prize. Gosek finished second as Danzer earned a second Mr Supermodified triumph, first since 2014, with Gruel, Shullick Jr., and Barnes rounding the top five.
