Filipino church buys ghost town in Connecticut
Iglesia Ni Cristo bought the 62 acre Johnsonville property in East Haddam for 1.85 million dollars. The plan may include a chapel house of worship and a Johnsonville museum while restoring four residential buildings. Local officials weigh curiosity and caution, noting a history of repurposing shuttered worship sites.
