Oswego Fourth of July Parade Delights City Crowd
Oswego held its annual Fourth of July Parade with floats and marchers traveling from Oswego High School to Fort Ontario. Spectators along Bridge Street cheered as Oswego Police led the procession with the Fort Ontario Guard historical group, fire and police departments, and diverse participants including Oswego High School Marching Buccaneers, classic cars, rescue boats and Boy Scout units.

James Faces, a former ball turret gunner on a B-17 with the Eighth Air Force, was named a chevalier in France's Legion of Honor by President Francois Hollande. He flew 30 missions over France and Germany in 1944, including the Normandy campaign, and now at 91 reflects on the rare honor and the valor of his service.
