Parents sue NYC over football death of 16-year-old

The parents of Miles Kirkland, a 16-year-old Curtis High School student on Staten Island, sue New York City and school and emergency officials for wrongful death alleging inadequate care after he collapsed during football practice. The medical examiner cited hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as the cause. the suit seeks unspecified damages.
