Fulton Restores 13 Properties to Tax Rolls in 2015
Fulton officials led by Mayor Ron Woodward Sr. report 13 properties were placed back on the tax rolls in 2015 as part of a program to renovate foreclosed properties and sell them through a real estate agent rather than at auction. The city began this effort seven years ago to gain better control over pricing and outcomes, aiming for properties sold near market value and in improved condition. The timetable for renovations varies, but the city budgets for yearly restoration costs and continues to target properties by location and condition.
