Oswego Palladium reports the Kingston schooner Julia with 7000 bushels of barley ashore at Ford Shoals after a blinding snowstorm and NE gale. Captain D L McDonald and crew were rescued by the life saving station and tug Navagh. hull insured, cargo value 2500, vessel likely total loss if conditions do not ease.
