Oswego Fire Department officials say Wade's Diner suffered heavy water and heat damage after a fire Monday. Lt. Paul Conzone noted crews struggled to reach flames in the attic, with the call coming in at 5 23 p m. Deputy Chief Dave Engle was first on scene reporting heavy smoke, and crews cut a hole in the roof to vent heat before extinguishing the attic blaze and hot spots.
