Oswego AmeriCorps member fosters school youth card project
Oswego resident Claire Richardson, active as Camp Hollis counselor and USA lacrosse coach, completed Cards Across Oswego by coordinating greetings for St. Francis Commons residents. She gained school approvals from Frederick Leighton Elementary Kingsford Park Elementary and Trinity Catholic with help from first graders. The effort connected youths with seniors, delivering cards and even songs, under program director Julie Chetney. Richardson, a sophomore health and physical education student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, plans to continue community service aligned with hometown values.
