Oswego County deputies report Brandon L. Gould, 34, last seen fighting rough water off Brennan's Beach in Richland Saturday night, did not surface. A multi agency effort including New York State Police Coast Guard and several local fire departments conducted Sunday searches, but plans remain under evaluation and the case is under investigation.

The Central New York Diocese elected The Very Reverend Dr. Dede Duncan-Probe as its 11th bishop at a Liverpool convention. She will lead 73 congregations including Oswego County churches and succeeds retiring Bishop Gladstone B. Adams III. Duncan-Probe, previously rector in Fairfax Station, Virginia, thanked the diocese and noted the faithful ministry shaping the church’s gospel service.
