Funding Boost Aims To Curb EEE In New York

State Senator Patty Ritchie announced $175,000 in state funds to support mosquito eradication and Eastern Equine Encephalitis prevention in central and northern New York after EEE was found in Oswego County. Three men rescue Schroeppel man trapped under vehicle in river

A 66 year old Schroeppel man backed an H3 Humvee into the Oswego River behind his home and was pinned under the vehicle for about 45 minutes. Three men from Sharon Chevrolet, leaving work in a rainstorm, heard his cries and ran through the woods to pull him free. He was flown to Crouse Hospital for evaluation.
