It also describes reconstruction of the First National Bank and Colonial hotel in a detailed architectural plan, including terra cotta, plate glass, metal trim, a central bank vault, mezzanine, and a barrel vault ceiling. The piece then lists numerous teachers and schools in Abbeville and surrounding consolidations, naming superintendents and many instructors across Junior High and elementary grades. It ends with a reflection on education and the need for better pay to attract able teachers, attributed to the Jackson Daily News.
