Typhoid Survey Warns Oxford Officials of Infections
Dr W S Leiters reports in 1918 survey that Ly Pud fever cases rose in Oxford over recent years. The study, by Felix Linder, finds contaminated water, flies, and excreta as key transmission risks and calls for proper waste disposal and sanitary handling of the sick to prevent an epidemic. The report notes 137 insanitary surface privies and 159 homes lacking proper sanitation.
