Camp Meeting Hope Grows in Lafayette County

Church notes from Oxford praise Rev Julian Duncan for mission service after theological studies. A fundraiser concert by Central Community’s Ella Butler and four others boosted the Camp Ground Fund ahead of the August camp meeting. Remains of Joe Bailey, a Lafayette County native who died in France, were honored in Cambridge with tributes by Rev Roland Leavell. Community spirit and labor among men and women alike boost plans to add workdays and expand the camp site and finances.

Day at Oxford Camp Ground A Great Success

Tuesday morning supporters gathered at Oxford Camp Ground as volunteers arrived from across the region. By ten o clock about one hundred participants joined Prof McKay in grading, ditch filling, trimming, and concreting springs transforming the site into a promising, inviting public space.

Picnic at Fairview Delights Mrs Callaway Sunday School
