Y M C A Oversea Service Adjusts Recruiting Post Pershing Offer
Janta Ga Jan The offer of General Pershing to release officers and men from the A E F for Y M C A work reduced overseas recruitment. The Y M C A had planned to send many workers abroad but could not, as meat was secured locally by Pershing and the need lessened. The organization will still send qualified men to France, though in smaller numbers. Dr W W Alexander notes the gesture shows high esteem for the Y M C A from the U S government and the A E F leader.
