Me Sam Livingston, a respected farmer about miles southeast of Oxford, died Friday January 17. He leaves a wife and one child. Interment was held at Kingdom Saturday.

Mrs Luke Varner Dies at Home Near Taylor

News of the death of Mrs Luke Varner reached the city this morning. She died at her home five miles out Taylor Wednesday night January 22. She was about 35 years of age. She is survived by a husband and several children.

Packolet Fernandez Obituary in Oxford Area

Friends and relatives mourn Packolet Fernandez, grandson of Mrs. Mollie Fernandez and Mr. Genie Anderson, who died of influenza at Presbyterian Hospital in Memphis Tennessee at age twenty two. He served as a nurse for wounded soldiers during furlough from a camp in North Carolina and leaves a father two brothers and two sisters. His remains were brought home to College Hill on Sunday.
