Obituary of J. L. Walker from Lafayette County
J L Walker died yesterday at age 77 at his home six miles south of Oxford after three months of ill health. He died of acute indigestion five minutes after showing good health. He leaves a widow and eight children, with burial scheduled for tomorrow at Church Grove. He was a respected Lafayette County farmer and citizen.

University Increases Campus Construction Amid Expansion

Miss Cannie Mize Dies After Long Illness At Tula Home
Cannie Mize 35 died at her brother's home in Tula Tuesday about midnight after a lengthy illness. She was daughter of C. T. Mize, both parents predeceased her. Survived by six brothers and five sisters. one brother works at the city light and power plant. Interment at Providence cemetery in Providence Calhoun County near Lafayette line.
